Part of One Color Wall Assemblage in Karen Kirshner's Solo

7 colors wereused in a planned asseblage of new works, cirular color key paintings for each section and each painitng in each color was paired, one was complex and the other was surreal-pop for each color and could be sold separatly. Many did sell. This was only one of the walls of an entire first room gallery of Kirshner's work in the Onward and Upward solo show.

In Onward and Upward KLKirshner' Solo at bjspoke Gallery, this was a carefully planned installation by the artist. Color key at the top with us, canvas and circle with the color that was used as the background color. And the complex paintings that were in each pair for each color are posted in the “complex” paintings category.

This is an assemble of paintings of different sizes. Very carefully planned there were eight 4 x 6 canvases on each side of a 20 x 10“ canvas to compose this painting. The painting can be pulled apart to switch positions as it is adhere to by Velcro. There are two such compositions with the black paint.

Again, this is a planned assemblage of eight 4 x 6” paintings on either side of a 20” x 10” painting on separate canvases that are detachable and a fixed with Velcro. They could be hands-on changing the positions of the different different mini paintings if so desired.
